My Special Office Artwork

I spent some time and money this year working on my office!

Because of my back problems, it’s not great for me to work from bed or the couch, which I was in the bad habit of doing.

The problem was that the room designated for our home office wasn’t a great-feeling place to be. It just looked unfinished and all kinds of random stuff ended up there when we didn’t know where else to put it. With some rearranging, paint, and artwork, I now absolutely love my office! I work in the office most days and I think I’m most productive when I’m in there.

My favorite part is the space behind my desk where I picked out some amazing artwork. I wanted to choose pieces that were meaningful to me without spending a fortune. Etsy totally delivered! I spent about $50 total on three pieces of artwork, plus another $40-ish on frames.

Honeydukes Poster

I am a huge Harry Potter fan and I found an artist who made this advertising poster for Honeydukes, a magical candy shop from the stories. Most of the Harry Potter artwork I found was either of quotes or images of the castle. I love that this is a little less “on the nose” in that it relates to the Harry Potter books without being exactly what you’d expect. It was a digital download that I just had to have printed. Family Portrait

I have been drooling over illustrated family portraits for ages and I finally found an illustrator whose style I loved and it was a great price. I emailed her multiple photos of each of us and she created this custom family portrait. I’m seriously in love with it! How cute are we in illustration form? A custom illustrated family portrait would make an amazing gift btw!!! Click here to view the artist’s sales page.

Who Run the World?

I had to put a little nod to girl power in my office! I do, after all, run my own blogging business. The illustrations of famous and powerful women of history are so fun to look at. My favorites are Lara Croft and J.K. Rowling. It’s a fun reminder of my strength as a woman and inspiring to look at all of the real and fictional strong women through history.
