We are in the middle of paying off my husband’s law school loans on one government income with 4 kids. But it’s fun to find creative ways to make it work. I just made homemade cinnamon rolls tonight which are always a frugal hit on Sunday mornings.

Thanks Amanda! That’s great you are learning! You absolutely learn quickly how to adjust your habits when you don’t have any other choice. I’m sure with 4 kids you get creative! But that’s awesome that they get so much time with at least one parent.

My husband and I were both raised by financially irresponsible parents so we have had a lot to learn. We are also a 1 income family with 4 kids. You definitely learn where the needs and wants fall and plan accordingly!

I loved our small wedding too! That’s awesome you’ll be debt free in 5 years! I’d love to pay off our mortgage, but I have a feeling we’ll be moving well before that happens. It’s definitely a dream of mine to have a paid for house.
