Thank you so much Erika!! You paid off a lot! I totally feel for you with extra expenses popping up. Right after we paid off everything, we had to get quotes for me to get braces (again…) and our mortgage escrow went way up. Always something! At least we’re in a better position to handle it all now!

If you are interested in ever paying your mortgage off early, a very motivating tool is to print off an amortization schedule. This shows how much each payment goes towards interest and towards principal. This is what I did. I would see how many payments I would want to prepay and instantly see how much interest I would save and how many months of payments I would save off the total!

In the past few months I paid off my car (it took such a huge chunk out of my paycheck!), a medical bill, and a small but still annoying credit card bill that accrued when my car kept needing things done to it, haha. It feels so good to be able to properly save money again! Of course my glasses broke last week and I had to get a new pair — things never stop happening, do they? 😉

I love answering blog questions! I definitely don’t get a lot of comments. Most blogs don’t these days and I think there’s more interaction on social media instead of on the actual blog website. My blogging income comes from a combination of ads placed on my site (which gets based off of views and I get over 100,000 views each month), selling my own digital products, and affiliate sales.
I do have the cutest assistant 🙂 though he’s usually napping on the job.
