Oh, dear, yes. I need to face up and choose brown as my neutral. But I have so. much. black. I was a Goth in high school (back in the 80s) and I still really like black, but I look better in brown. Time to get realistic. Thank you for the gentle push.

Last year, I decided on black as my main neutral and proceeded to remove all brown pieces from my wardrobe. I only have 1 pair of brown boots left, but I cannot bring myself to let them go just yet. I can make them work with a couple of outfits, and I really like them. Once they have become worn out, I will not be replacing them with brown, but I may choose a nude bootie instead. I also have one kind of sock for this specific reason, as well! I just stack them all flat, grab two for the day, and I am good to go! Never have to worry with matching again!

Great tips! I have a hard time throwing out all of my mismatched socks too. I got to the point where I just wear mismatched socks most of the time. 🙁 #INeedFashionHelp
