This is the philosophy I use when I want to organize something. I target one area at a time and first decide what we no longer need than organize the remainder.

Yes, love this! I have a similar motto, for exactly the same reasons. 🙂 I did a big round of decluttering last year & it’s made cleaning so much easier, but now it’s time to work on the next round. My garage sale tips: keep it to 1-2 days (lots of people around here do 3-4 days, but all the good stuff sells the first day); price to sell & be ready to take lower offers (don’t try to get back what you paid); when the sale is over, pack up and donate the leftovers IMMEDIATELY (seriously, the next day). Good luck with your sale!

I love your motto! I am doing a decluttering challenge all month long for the same reason. I badly need to organize my house but I an’t do that until I get rid of all the stuff! We are having a yard sale too…although I think we may need to do more than one 😉
