In reply to <a href="https://www.themostlysimplelife.com/simple-food/foods-high-in-sugar/#comment-4827">Shopahaulica</a>.

So true! In the Zero Sugar Diet Book, they share about the onion rings at a restaurant (I can't remember which one) that have a HUGE amount of sugar in them. And I would never think of onion rings as being a sugary food at all. It's pretty crazy how it's just everywhere! I'm glad you're figuring out how to cook at home more!❤️

I am trying to go low in sugar too and one thing I can say for sure is anything that you didn't cook at home has sugar(including the restaurant food. When you read the labels, don't just read the nutrition values because they are allowed to put 0 sugar on the label if the amount is not higher than a certain value(i don't have the number). Read the ingredients and see if sugar is listed. Again, same thing for the restaurant food, most of the time, they have sugar in them to make them taste better.I am lazy when it comes to cooking at home but I am trying to create the habit because that is the only time I can say for sure that there is not sugar in my food.
